A crowd of nearly 450 people attended the event at the glamourous Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Station in New York to honour the achievements of the funds of funds community in 2005. Seattle-based Silver Creek Capital Management walked away with four awards. The firm, founded in 1994 by Eric Dillon and Tim Flaherty, excelled in a number of categories, including Group of the Year. In 2005, Silver Creek, which has $4.5 billion under management, dominated the multi-strategy arena and took home both multi-strategy awards, as well as winning the emerging manager award for the second year running. Financial Risk Management, the $12 billion London-based firm founded by Blaine Tomlinson, also walked away with two awards.
