Pine River names James Clark co-CIO

The fast growing multistrategy firm also promotes Paul Richardson to partner.

Pine River Capital Management has promoted James Clark to partner and co-chief investment officer. 

Clark joined Pine River in 2012 as head of portfolio strategy after 18 years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he held various roles, including global head of risk and portfolio construction. He now shares overall responsibility for the firm's investments with founder Brian Taylor. Clark will also join portfolio manager Aaron Yeary in directing the firm's flagship multistrategy Pine River Fund.

Pine River also elevated its chief risk officer, Paul Richardson, to partner, bringing the total partnership to 16. Richardson joined the
