Touradji appoints new execs following 2011 losses


The changes are intended to let Paul Touradji focus on investing. The Tiger cub’s firm was down 14% last year and assets dropped more than 61%.

Stung by double-digit performance losses and a rapidly shrinking asset base, Tiger cub Paul Touradji’s commodities fund unveiled a slew of changes today in a letter to investors obtained by AR (full text below).

Peter Borish, a Tudor Investment Corporation veteran who most recently served as head of Computer Trading Corporation, has joined as chief executive officer, according to the letter. Mark Friedman, a co-founder of hedge fund AM Investment Partners, has joined as the new director of trading and operations. Friedman will be bringing over additional employees from AM Investment Partners to work with him at Touradji
