Short track records limit choice, allocator says

Choice is limited for investors into alternative UCITS because too many funds do not have a long enough track record, according to Simon Wood from Scottish Widows Investment Partners.

Wood, an investment director for asset manager’s multi-manager team, has two funds that invest into alternative UCITS funds – SWIP Multi-Manager Diversity Fund, a fund with $348 million (£223.5 million) assets under management and the $6.5 million (£4.2 million) SWIP Multi-Manager Optimal Multi-Asset Fund.
