SEB merges Key into alternatives arm


Key Asset Management has been integrated into the SEB Alternative Investment unit in Stockholm, a move that has seen Chris Jones, chief investment officer of seven years, leaving for a new post at bFinance.

Despite having one of the oldest FoHF track records in the industry, Key has struggled to move into the super league since hitting peak assets of $3.4 billion in June 2008, just six months after it announced plans to be acquired by SEB.

SEB’s alternative investment team, which brings to the union a seeding and incubation business, is hoping that the integration will be
