Offshore law firm Mourant Ozannes has opened an office in Hong Kong. The firm, which acted as offshore legal counsel for Glencore, the world’s largest IPO last year, has relocated to the city its managing partner Paul Christopher to oversee the establishment of the office.
Christopher will be joined at the Hong Kong office by new Mourant Ozannes partners, Alex Last and Simon Lawrenson.
Last, who heads the Cayman practice in Asia, previously worked for Freshfields in London and Maples and Calder in Hong Kong and Dubai. Lawrenson, who leads the BVI practice in the region worked previously for Linklaters
