CalSTRS close to finalising global macro shortlist for $200m


The $144.8 billion California State Teachers’ Retirement System is narrowing down its list of global macro managers in creating a shortlist in partnership with Lyxor Asset Management in New York.

The plan is to ultimately hire five managers to handle an overall portfolio of $200 million over the next 12 months. According to officials, they have divided up global macro strategies in considering firms depending on markets and instruments traded, inputs used for investment decisions and number of risk-takers.
