Japanese equity tops tables for second week in a row

Japanese equity took the top spot for best performing sector for the week ending 16 March 2011, according to the Absolute UCITS database, with a median return of 1.78%. The previous week the sector returned 1.15%.

In the peer group, Nippon Growth and Vitruvius Japanese Equity funds returned 2.81% and 2.32% respectively. The funds struggled, like many, through 2011 but they both returned more than 14% so far this year to the end of February 2012.
