Ginga Golden Egg in small-cap flourish


The Ginga Golden Egg Fund lived up to its name last month, returning 5.93% in March, following on the heels of a 7.29% rise in February. Fund manager Nozomu Higuchi said the fund, which focuses on Japanese small-cap stocks, has been buoyed by a recent flood of interest in the Japanese small-cap market. Institutional investors started seeing value in the market as large caps have started looking overvalued. Also boosting performance are Japanese individual investors, who are traditionally drawn to small-cap stocks.
