Lawrence takes CEO role at Colorado University


Richard Lawrence joined the team at the University of Colorado Foundation earlier this month as its new president and chief executive officer. 

He replaces retiring CEO J. Wayne Hutchens. Lawrence was most recently chief operating officer and executive vice president during his six-year tenure at the foundation. Overseeing a staff of 200, Lawrence will be in charge of a group responsible for the investment of the $750 million endowment portfolio and continuing the universities’ fundraising efforts.  

Guided by 30 prior years of executive experience at Vectra Bank and Bank One Corporation, Lawrence has helped lead the foundation’s investment management
