Macquarie shuts down fund focused on Europe and Asia


Macquarie Investment Management has shuttered its more than six-year old fund focused on companies in Europe and Asia.

The Macquarie Global Multi-Events Segregated Portfolio, which at its peak reached a size of $360 million, ceased trading on April 20, after delivering weak returns in recent years.

The fund used a series of quantitative factors including company earnings valuation measures, and other quality and momentum indicators to calculate dividend effects on stock options.
