UK’s Hertfordshire plans $488m foray into alternatives


Hertfordshire Pension Fund, with $3.9 billion in assets under management, is taking a broad view as it looks for managers to handle a major push into alternatives, in a move that could reflect the growing success of fiduciary type consultancy mandates.

While the plan is tendering for a manager to run up to $488 million in alternative assets, it is specifically encouraging not only traditional investment managers but also fiduciary managers and consultants providing implemented solutions to apply.
