Indices down a bit in April as volatility picks up


Increasingly volatile markets led to fairly flat overall returns for hedge funds in April as performance continued to weaken after the earlier strong start to the year.

The EuroHedge Composite Index was down by 0.15% on a median basis, and by 0.36% on a mean average basis – reducing their year-to-date gains to 2.67% and 3.36% respectively.
