BlackRock build-up in Asia continues


BlackRock continues to aggressively build its alternative platform in the region and has appointed Ascalon Capital’s CEO Andrew Landman as its head of alternatives in Australia.

The hire comes just a few months after BlackRock appointed Joseph Pacini, the former head of alternative investments at JPMorgan, to be head of the alternative investor strategy group for Asia outside of Japan. BlackRock manages approximately $110 billion in alternative assets globally, of which $20 billion comes from the Asia Pacific region.
