The $3.3 billion Colorado Fire & Police Pension Association has added an activist hedge fund to its growing single manager portfolio with a $30 million allocation to Pershing Square, said Austin Cooley, the pension fund’s alternative investments officer.
Albourne Partners was hired earlier this year to aid in setting up the single manager portfolio. Under the direct investment programme, Colorado Fire & Police also has investments with Coatue, Luxor Capital, Senator Investment Group and Southport Capital.
