Asia-focused long/short equity managers reverted back to positive territory in June after an excruciatingly difficult May, with the best performers being in India and Japan. However, returns in most categories remained below the key market benchmarks.
AsiaHedge data shows that managers focused on Asia including Japan posted a median gain of 0.73% in June, a performance considerably below the 5.56% gain posted by MSCI Pacific Free Net Index, the relevant benchmark. The result in June is, nonetheless, a considerable improvement from the 3.87% median loss in May. The AsiaHedge Composite gained
