US version of GARS fund hits $1 billion milestone

US financial firm John Hancock has crossed the $1 billion assets under management mark with the US version of Standard Life Investments’ Global Absolute Return Strategies Fund after only nine months of trading.

Achieving this milestone in such a short period of time makes it one of the fastest-growing funds ever for John Hancock and many US-based investment firms have added the fund to their recommended lists.

In January this year, SLI Investments teamed up with John Hancock Mutual Funds to make its Global Absolute Return Strategies Fund available to the US retail marketplace.
