AIMA appoints Casey as new chair, forms new global council


The Alternative Investment Management Association has appointed Kathleen Casey, a former commissioner at the US Securities and Exchange Commission, as its new non-executive chairman.

Following Casey’s appointment, AIMA has also announced the formation of a new AIMA Council, its board of directors that acts as the global governing council for the trade association.

Casey served as an SEC commissioner between 2006 and 2011. During her tenure, she acted as the SEC’s principal representative in various international regulatory dialogues and also served as chair of the IOSCO Technical Committee.

Casey’s appointment as AIMA chair is for two years. Andrew
