Early numbers show another bad month for CTAs in October


Early indications suggest that October was a terrible month for CTAs in what is turning into another very disappointing and difficult year for most managed futures strategies.

With October numbers so far reported to EuroHedge from about 20 European-based CTA managers, there has been not yet a single positive return – amid signs that trend-following strategies were once again caught off-balance by the shifting risk-on/risk-off market climate.
