Quant Asset Management UCITS fund shuttered amid risk on/risk off climate

The UCITS III version of the flagship systematic global stock picking fund run by Singapore-based Quant Asset Management has been shuttered, a development that serves to further highlight the difficult risk-on risk-off environment this year.

The vehicle, which replicated the investment strategy of the more than eight-year-old QAM Global Equities Fund, was launched in March last year, and had an initial size of $24 million. It grew to a peak of $40 million before it was shut down in May and the capital was returned to investors.
