Institutional investors want alternative strategies, according to Aquila report


Institutional investors are increasingly moving towards alternative investments in particular real assets, equities and absolute return, according to a Europe-wide study commissioned by Aquila Capital.
The single most popular asset class in the current portfolio structure of according to the 255 institutional investors questioned are government bonds, with an average of 21.2% invested in sovereign assets. 
However, the institutional investors surveyed indicated they would move away from government bonds towards riskier asset classes during the next five years.
