SSG soft closes special sits fund after attracting $400m


Hong Kong-based SSG Capital Management has stopped accepting new subscriptions to its second special situations fund after attracting a total of $400 million into the strategy barely eight months after launch.

The fund, SSG Capital Partners II LP, which is focused on pan–Asia opportunities, is run by founder and CIO Edwin Wong, the highly regarded former head of the Asia special situations group at Lehman Brothers.
