Richard Ingram has been named the new executive director of the Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System following a unanimous vote of trustees of the $33 billion pension programme.
Ingram is currently executive director of the New Hampshire Retirement System, which totals $5 billion. He succeeds Stan Rupnik, who has served a dual role as acting executive director and chief investment officer since April 2009. Rupnik remains CIO, while Ingram has signed on to a three-year contract with Illinois Teachers that begins in late January.
