Endowments and foundations growing HF allocations, Barclays finds


In a recent survey of investors by Barclays Capital, endowments and foundations seem to be leading the way in a renewed commitment to hedge fund strategies in 2011.

Overall 49% of investors said they planned to increase their allocations to hedge funds in 2011, with 82% of endowments and foundations saying they would grow their hedge fund portfolios. Over half of insurance funds (64%) said they too would increase their allocations.
