Credit and distressed funds top off a good showing in 2010


Credit and distressed managers generally made gains in December, cementing a strong year. Chenavari’s Toro Capital, the frontrunner in credit all year, ended 2010 with an impressive 90.56% return after a 3.56% gain in December.

Alcentra Structured Credit Opportunity made 46.78% in 2010 and posted a 3.98% return last month. Trafalgar Recovery was up 17.95% on the year after making 29 basis points in December, and Matrix PVE Global Credit gained 21.95% on a full-year basis, despite dropping 1.47% in December.
