Asian hedge fund managers with an institutionalised platform will see the most benefit from increased capital allocations to the region this year, according to BNY Mellon.
Andrew Gordon, head of BNY Mellon’s Alternative Investment Services in Asia, observes that large institutions worldwide, particularly those in Asia, are increasingly looking at hedge fund opportunities. A growing trend of investors making their first investments in Asia’s alternatives space is expected to continue well into 2011, he said.
However, transparency and risk management are key issues for institutional investors, noted Gordon. “We believe we will be seeing a more robust outlook and increased
