UK’s Lincolnshire hires Morgan Stanley to manage alternative investments portfolio


Lincolnshire Pension Fund, based in Newland, Lincoln, has appointed Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners (MSAIP) to invest around 15% of its $1.9 billion assets in alternatives.

The mandate will see Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners creating a diversified portfolio of alternatives, ranging across the spectrum on a strategic and tactical basis, whilst also making opportunistic investments where appropriate. The benchmark is three-month Libor with a rolling three year outperformance objective of plus 3% to 4% net of fees.
