Big US quant manager launches UCITS fund


AQR Capital Management, the multi-billion dollar hedge fund manager, is the latest alternatives investment house to launch a UCITS-compliant fund.

The new AQR Global Relative Value UCITS Fund offers access to the Connecticut-based fund manager’s global relative value investment strategy.

The fund uses a diversified investment approach across arbitrage, equity and macro strategies and employs a team-managed led by principal Ronen Israel.

David Kabiller, AQR founding principal and head of client strategies, says: “The fund takes advantage of AQR’s nearly 15 years of experience managing funds with a liquid and transparent approach.”

The fund was launched 26 January 2011 and is the tenth UCITS-compliant fund on the Bank of America Merrill Lynch platform.
