Credit and distressed start 2011 with a bang as high returns keep coming


Credit strategies began with a bang in January, with several funds in the specialist credit and distressed space continuing to produce some stellar returns.

Alcentra’s Structured Credit Opportunity Fund was up by just under 15% on the month for a six-month return of over 50% – while Chenavari’s high-flying Toro Capital ABS strategy gained another 7.19% (taking its 12-month return to almost 90%) and Pamplona Credit Opportunities was also up by almost 8% in January.
