Fund managers eye smaller Asian markets for growth


Hedge fund executives and other asset managers expect growth this year to come from smaller Asian economies such as Hong Kong, Singapore and South Korea, according to a new study by RBC Capital Markets.

The survey of 108 asset managers worldwide, conducted by the Economist Intelligence Unit, found that 73% of respondents predict that smaller Asian economies have better prospects for growth this year compared to 2010, followed by India (66%) and China (65%).
