Ascom reviews investments following relatively poor results

The pension fund for Ascom, the Swiss communications company, is currently reviewing its hedge fund investments.

The $1.38 billion pension fund currently has an investment of around 5% of assets in four funds of hedge funds.

However, as a result of relatively poor performance it is understood that the pension fund is currently considering redeeming from its investments in the asset class.

A final decision is likely to be taken at the next investment committee review, set to take place in the first quarter of 2011.
