Ellis Brady’s absolute return vehicle reaches the $500 million milestone

Ellis Brady Management, the Hong Kong firm run by well-regarded JF Asset Management veterans Roger Ellis and Michael Brady, is understood to have crossed $500 million in AUM and is nearing capacity.

The EB Asia Absolute Return Fund has gained about 44% from its late 2006 inception up to December 2010. After launching with approximately $330 million in initial capital, it is thought to have assets of $570 million now, and targets $600 million before closing, in order to grow via performance to its $750 million capacity.
