Singapore’s CSAM puts Central Europe and Asia in focus

Singapore-based CSAM Asset Management’s Sertorius Global Opportunities Fund, one of the largest but quietly launched new funds last year, has performed well since it started investing in August 2010.

The fund was started with an AUM of $200 million – a figure that placed it in the top three hedge fund launches in Asia last year, in terms of capital. It has a capacity of $1 billion.

The global macro strategy has generated “a quite high Sharpe ratio”, and had registered gains in five out its first six months of operation, according to fund manager Gabor Marosi.
