HSBC Securities Services (HSS) has appointed John van Verre as head of global custody. He was previously acting managing director for HSS Ireland, having originally joined in June 2008 to head up the Singapore operation.
Now based in London, van Verre will report to Drew Douglas, co-head of HSS. He will be responsible for managing and developing the firm’s global custody offering.
Before joining HSS, van Verre was chief commercial officer and a member of the managing board at ABN Amro Mellon Global Securities Services.
