New York State switches consultants from Aksia to Albourne Partners


New York State Common Retirement Fund has decided to move forward with Albourne Partners as its hedge fund consultant as Aksia’s contract with the pension fund came for renewal.

Aksia was hired in 2008 and had a three-year contract that ran through March, according to spokesman for the $141 billion pension fund. Aksia was founded in 2006 by Jim Vos, a veteran of the Credit Suisse fund of funds group. The firm had a legal dispute with Albourne Partners.
