MKP preps new structured credit fund

The $4.13 billion firm is also looking to hire a senior investor relations executive.

MKP Capital Management is preparing to launch a new credit fund within the next few months. The MKP Structured Credit Fund will invest in residential mortgage-backed securities, commercial mortgage-backed securities and collateralized loan obligations.

The fund, which will be a less liquid version of the firm’s existing credit strategy, has a stated capacity of $500 million. Further details could not be ascertained. Calls to MKP were referred to a spokesman who declined to comment.

In addition, MKP is looking to hire a senior investor relations executive. The new hire will “serve as the primary contact at the firm for all prospective
