Bayview’s New Alphex fund delivers despite Japanese gloom

Japan specialist Bayview Asset Management’s New Alphex Long Short Fund has notched up a strong performance this year despite the string of calamities that has devastated the country’s northern region.

The fund was up a solid 2.1% in March, against an 8.6% fall in the TOPIX index – helping to push the fund’s year-to-date return to 9.1%.
