German firm appoints new UCITS head and plans new volatility strategy


Alexander Raviol is taking over as head of absolute return UCITS business at German-based asset manager Lupus alpha.

Raviol takes over from derivative specialist Ulf Becker, who has been with the company for the past decade and supported the development of the absolute return division.

Frankfurt-based Lupus alpha has assets under management of more than $8 billion (€5.6billion) in benchmark-free absolute return UCITS strategies, and is expanding its absolute return team from 15 to 21 investment professionals in the next few months.
