Asia inc funds ride Japan exposure for decent returns


APS Asia Pacific was up 1.62% on the month to take first-quarter returns to 3.97%. Contributors to performance included Melfas Inc which has continued to receive brokers’ upgrades of earnings and price targets driven by the continuous penetration of capacitive touch screens adopted in tablet computers and smart phones.

ARN Asian Enterprise was up 1.99% to take first-quarter returns to -1.73%, while Boyer Allan Pacific was up 1.32% to leave Q1 figures at -0.75%.

Dalton Asia was down by 0.05% to leave three-month numbers at 2.54% and Greater Asian Hedge Fund was up 0.85%, putting Q1 returns at -0.11%.
