Former Doric manager re-emerges with Aardwolf vehicle

Michael Nock, the former chairman and managing director of Doric Capital and a highly regarded hedge fund figure in Asia, has re-emerged as a portfolio manager with the recent launch of the $30 million Cayman-registered Aardwolf Fund.

Nock, who retired from Doric Capital in 2009 when he sold his stake to other senior managers and the Hamon Investment Group, says the new fund will invest in opportunities on a discretionary basis across multiple asset classes, including equities and credit. The money was mostly raised from friends and family.
