Sloan-Kettering seeks hedge fund honcho

The new hire will manage the $3.5 billion endowment’s hedge fund investments.

The Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is looking for a manager for its $3.5 billion endowment’s hedge fund portfolio. The manager of marketable investments, a new position, will help oversee the endowment’s liquid investments, which includes and hedge funds, and report directly to Chief Investment Officer Jason Klein.

As of early May, roughly half of the endowment’s portfolio was invested in alternatives, but the fund has no one that focuses solely on hedge funds.

The new hire will work alongside Novisi Atadika, the manager of non-marketable investments, who oversees the endowment’s private equity investments.
