Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater Associates, met with Chinese foreign minister Yang Jiechi on Thursday.
The two “exchanged views on bilateral trade and economic ties between China and the United States, poverty alleviation activities in China and other topics of mutual interest,” according to a brief statement made by the Chinese embassy in Washington.
Bridgewater declined to comment on the meeting. The Chinese embassy did not immediately respond to a request for elaboration.
