FPP, Whitney Select lead Japan as stocks rebound after last month’s falls


April was a relatively quiet month for the Japanese market, with rebounds for some of those stocks that sold off most sharply in the wake of last month’s disaster. TOPIX ended the month down 2.01% in USD terms.

Of those that were up, FPP Japan did well to post a 2.74% gain on the month, taking three-month numbers to 10.15%, while Whitney Select Japan was up 1.48% to leave three-month figures at 10.05%, and AlphaGen Tenro gained 1.79% putting three-month numbers at 5.03%, while newcomer Start 22 was up 0.51% leaving three-month returns at 7.83%.
