Emerging market debt and equity players make hay in buoyant underlying markets


Emerging-market equity and debt players had a strong month in April, with a number of niche operators among the best performers. PharmaInvest led the pack in equity, returning 20.65%.

Emerging Value Opportunities was up 18.30% and Access Turkey Opportunities made 14.84%. Balkan Emerging Frontiers gained 6.03%, SR Global Emerging was up 5.07% and Mango Capital made 4.94%. GEM Global Energy was up 4.93%, Scipion Alpha Seeker returned 4.23% and Investec’s Pan Africa Fund was up 3.69%.
