Singapore’s MAM joins billion dollar club


Assets under management at Singapore-based hedge fund group MAM have almost doubled since last September to reach close to $1 billion.

Meanwhile, R-Squared Master Fund, a capital structure arbitrage fund MAM seeded last year, has grown to $170 million in just over a year on the back of strong inflows from funds of hedge funds as well as institutional and retail investors. The fund had delivered a solid 7% return by June 10, 2011, as against a 15-20% targeted return for the year.
