Alaska Permanent CIO to join consulting firm


Jeffrey Scott, chief investment officer of the $40 billion Alaska Permanent Fund, will join Seattle-based investment consultant Wurts and Associates this summer. He will lead Wurts’ discretionary investment practice and is joined by Max Giolitti, Alaska Permanent’s director of asset allocation and risk.

Scott has more than 20 years of investment experience including his role at Microsoft, where as assistant treasurer he managed a $56 billion absolute-return global asset portfolio. Following his years at Microsoft, he spent several years managing a hedge fund and consulting to technology and insurance companies on risk management. He joined the Alaska Permanent
