Pan-Asia funds struggle in May


The MSCI Asia Pacific Index was down 2.02% during the month and a number of funds in the sector struggled, although some did well.

Steadview Capital Master Fund was up 2.5% to take three-month numbers to 15.82% and WF Asian Reconnaissance was up 1.06%, putting three-month numbers at 14.03%. Pangolin Asia’s 2.65% gain took three-month returns to 12.59%, while Tantallon Fund was off by 0.67%, leaving three-month numbers at 6.61%.

Sloane Robinson’s SR Global Fund Asia was down by 0.61% to leave three-month figures at 6.23% and Doric Asia Pacific Small Cap was up 1.27% putting three-month numbers
