Kentucky plans FoHF allocation


The fledgling hedge fund allocation at the Kentucky Retirement System has been slow to take off and mired in political scandal, but officials are still planning a 10% allocation with a focus on direct and funds of hedge funds.

The $15 billion public pension plan has not determined a set split between funds of funds and single-manager hedge fund offerings, but it is thought that up to $1 billion could easily go into funds of funds. Currently, RV Kuhns is the consultant advising Kentucky on its fund of funds allocation.
