Liontrust, the London-based asset manager with more than $2 billion assets under management, has bought absolute return UCITS fund management business Occam Asset Management, which is headed by former Thames River co-founder Jonathan Hughes-Morgan.
Occam, with $201.9 million (£124 million) assets under management, has four Dublin-based UCITS funds.
The Asia Focus and Asia Absolute Return Funds are managed by Mark Williams, while Eoghan Flanagan and James Mellersh manage the Emerging Markets Opportunities Fund. Flanagan was co-founder of the Thames River Capitals Nevsky team.
James Inglis-Jones and Gary West from Liontrust will take over as fund managers of the Sorbus and
