EuroHedge index shows slight loss for July


July performance numbers are now in for all of the European hedge funds that report to the EuroHedge database, and the EuroHedge Composite Index shows a slight median loss of 0.17% for the month.

The majority of strategy categories ended the month down, but managed futures was a notable exception, with a median return of 2.24% among US dollar-based funds and 3.60% for euro-denominated funds. Emerging market debt and equity also ended the month in positive territory, as did fixed income.
